This year we celebrate the founding fifty years ago of Autherley Boat Club, which later became Wolverhampton Boat Club.

The Rally began on Friday night with Martin running his usual excellent barbeque outside, while Marilyn and Dave DJ'ed Black Cat Disco. (Picture taken while they were getting their burgers)

Barbara and Dave made sure everybody had tombola tickets, Julie ran the club shop and Dave was rolling pennies.

The Stafford Riverway Link's information tent attracted a great deal of interest. Here Yvonne is signing up another interested visitor.The Link exisitsm to promote the restoration of the historic river and canal waterway linking the county town of Stafford and the National Waterway Network for the benefit of the community and all interested groups.

The Bric a Brac stalls were very popular, with lots of bargins on offer, especially Bric!

The Lichfield and Hathereton campaigns for the restoration of the Lichfield Canal and also the Hatherton Canal through Cannock. It promotes the restoration as public amenities for boating, angling, walking, cycling etc. and raises funds to carry out physical restoration work.

The cake stall is always very popular.

We were delighted to receive an engraved glass plaque from our friends at Ash Tree Boat Club, and a commemorative lace plate from Stoke on Trent Boat Club.

Saturday afternoon saw the Interclub Games. This included painting a portrait of Her majesty (in the rain), Walking the Plank, Turtle racing, Tug o' War, Nine Pins and I think it was Hook a Dog out of the Paddling Pool.
